Ok, I lost my iphone 4g, I get a replacement, insurance wasn't available at the time I got the phone. Now one of my co-workers found it for me today, what can I do with the old phone. Should I report it to Verizon, and hope they would offer credit or some consolation to my account. Or don't bother wasting my time with that, just try to sell it.
Please advise, thanks

How did you get a replacement? If you just purchased it, the old one is yours to do with as you wish. The credit you can get from Verizon is less than you could get for it by selling it yourself, but you have to consider if that is worth the hassle. See the official Verizon program:
Looks like for the VZ iPhone in good condition:
$252 16GB
$265 32GB
$312 64GB
(I would expect these prices (and those you get elsewhere) to drop once a new iPhone comes out.)
If you got the phone some other way (you say insurance wasn't available) through a credit card company or something, I'm sure the conditions would say the old phone belongs to them.

What you would be willing to sell it for?
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I'm going for $250.00 not including shipping fees, insurance, etc. Phone is in good condition, all data had been erased from it, let me know what you think, thanks.
Hello tommywrath,
Congratulations on finding your lost iPhone! It’s refreshing to hear when people acquire his/her lost device! After reading your original posting, I am under the impression that the device was replaced for you. May I ask was this done through our insurance company or through another channel? The reason for me asking is that lost devices are placed on a negative list and cannot be activated. There is a way to have the device removed from the negative list if this is the case. I suggest contacting us for ALL of your options for the original device. If interested then feel free to reply to this posting so we can discuss.
Thank you…

If it was replaced through VW insurance (deductable paid) and found does it need to be sent in to VW or does the customer get it unlocked and keep it?
morancmj - Great question! If you happen to find your lost phone that was replaced with insurance, the device cannot be used as it has been added to a lost/stolen phone database maintained by Asurion. You may want to get in contact with them as they may be able to help you with regards to that device. Their number is 1-888-881-2622.
If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Thank you morancmj!
