my phone number shows up as unknown on my iphone 6s

On my I phone 6s - under my phone number it shows as unknown, does anyone no why?

Well that is certainly odd! We definitely want to make sure your device is fully functional and happy to help. How long has it been showing unknown? Any recent changes since this started such as switching phones, changing your number or resetting the device? Are your services like calling, texting and data working on the phone? Is there an answer to this?  I just got my new 6s and I have the same problem after initial set up.

That's definitely odd, Shelrenee. We want to make sure your new iPhone recognizes your phone number. Are you having any trouble with making or receiving calls/texts? Did you purchase your device through Verizon or through Apple?
