my phone wont turn back on after I did a recent update

my phone was asking for an update so I did it now the damn thing wont turn back on. wont even show anything when its plugged in to its charger

I'm sorry to learn that your phone is not working after the software update dresserwi! Let's try to do a soft reset to get it to power back on. Press the home button and the power button at the same time for about 20 seconds. Keep us posted.
