This doesn't sound good at all. Please be careful with it.
Are there any new apps that may have been installed?  Is it getting hot during any particular function? Since it is overheating it is best to take the phone along with the charger that you normally use to any corporate store http://bit.ly/3SdsA for evaluation.

I did go to the store but they just told me to call asurion and they will handle it from there.
