recently changed the number on 1 of 3 phones on the account (new area code). Now when trying to text one of the other phones on the account, I get a message that the phone I am trying to text is a landline and the wrong area code shows.
Have you verified you are sending the message to the full ten digit number? You might have to delete the old messages to that number, remove it from your contacts and manually type in the number in a new text message before sending it.
