On 23 Nov. 2014 both of our basic phones received the following scam text from alert@vtext.net:

"(contact us immediately) Fraudulent activity on your account or stolen information contact us immediately by calling 1.406.872.0026."

This text was received at 2:00 am.  Online searches provide information that this is a scam/phishing text attempt to collect more information

and personal private data.  Do not call the number provided or respond to the text.  If you have any questions or would like to report, contact Verizon wireless support instead.
