I'm on my 2nd Brightside phone after the first one had a semi-transparent bar covering the lower half of the screen - similar to window tint film. Both Verizon staff and Costco kiosk employees agreed it was a defect so exchanged it for a new one. Several days later I connected it to my laptop to transfer photos taken with the phone. The Verizon Software Upgrade Assistant prompted me to download an upgrade, which I did. Now, the window-tint bar is back on the new phone, making me think it is connected with the software update since I had also downloaded an update on my previous Brightside at the prompting of the Software Assistant. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks.
