Brightside bluetooth - photos can't be sent to either of my computers

I am able to successfully pair my Brightside with both my Macbook and my HP PC but neither shows up under the list of devices on the phone when I select a Photo>Send>Via Bluetooth (oddly, it only shows my car's Bluetooth device).  When I try to pull the photos from my computer instead (i.e "Browse Device"), I'm told this phone doesn't have the required services.  I've now resorted to plugging the stupid thing into my computer (both devices) with the USB cable and STILL can't push/pull photos.  How do I get photos from my phone to my computers without emailing them (and paying the data surcharge thereto)?  I've read the online manual and it says to contact Verizon Wireless about bluetooth profiles.

You can buy a Micro SD Card and but that in your phone and then transfer the pictures over to that card. Then, take the card out of phone, and put into the adapter that comes with the micro sd card and put into your computer and then you can transfer the pictures to your computer or however you please to do so.

Don't have that phone but did you make sure the phone was in discovery mode so the other devices could see it?  That is how my ENV3 works so my car and other phones can find it so guessing that phone should be the same.  Mary

Thanks for the suggestion - though it's so many extra steps (and requires an additional purchase, maybe 2-3 depending on the micro SD connectivity to my computers). Why would my ENV2 that's 5+ years older have the capability to transfer photos via bluetooth straight to my computer but this one doesn't.  I may have to see if Verizon will take this phone back.

As my first sentence states, I was able to pair the phone with both computers so discovery mode isn't an issue.  Just trying to figure out why this phone won't let me push or pull photos via Bluetooth.  Based on the lack of replies stating otherwise, it does not appear to be user error and instead poor phone capability.

If the phone is seeing the computer and the computer is seeing the phone strange when you send it's not in the list,  if the ENV2 works, must be the phone.   If your computers have memory card slots built it the micro card will come with an adapter so all you need is to buy the micro card and they are fairly reasonable priced.  If your computer has no slots then a multi card reader can be had for $10 or so.  Mary

I at least found an answer online to how to push photos via the USB connection here:  http://www.all-samsungphones.com/how-to-sync-samsung-brightside-with-computer.html/

Still nothing on the bluetooth - will try to take it into a Verizon store this weekend to diagnose.  Thank you both for reviewing this.

Dear archeryhunter1993,

Good morning. I understand the importantance of being able to save pictures on your phone. It would be my pleasure to assist with you with saving your pictures.

First, I would like to thank you for helping our community in steps on how to save pictures. The steps you have provided are correct. Unfortunately, with a basic phone, they can not be transferred to a pc via USB. Also, we do not support the bluetooth transfer of pictures.

Another option you have for saving pictures from a basic phone is to transfer them to the free Verizon online album. To learn how to transfer pictures to the Samsung Brightside click http://vz.to/WZ7qTN. Should you still need further assistance with saving your pictures, please feel free to reach out to us for further assistance.

Thank You,

Yeah if you can hook to the computer and the mass storage works just do it that way.  Mary
