Can I stop an incoming text from overriding the one I am currently typing?

Is there a way to keep an incoming text from overriding an outgoing text being written, sending the outgoing text into drafts?

Great question jtagnew! There isn't a setting or option to override your text message from going to Draft when you get an incoming text. With Smartphones, this doesn't happen. Which phone do you have?
