Can I use a prepaid device on a FamilyShare plan?

My father lost his LG Exalt II.   My cousin offered to give him an LG Exalt No Contract phone.  Can I use the No Contract phone on a FamilyShare plan?

EPDvE4 so sorry to hear about your father's phone. That is a great question. Just so that we are on the same page, when you say no contract, are you referring to a Verizon pre-pay phone? If so, a pre-pay phone needs to be active on a pre-pay account for 6 months before it can be activated on a post-pay account.
