Drop in strenght of service

The strength of the signal in my home has dropped dramatically in the past couple weeks.  Phone works fine other places.  I often have to go outside to be able to use the phone, when I didn't before, and even then it is weak.  I have read about Verizon switching towers and wonder if that is the problem.  I live in 55418.
