I did a search and found a previous thread on this problem, but I didn't see any resolution. I was hoping the recent update would fix the issue, but it hasn't. Has anyone come up with a solution?

Can you be more specific please? Are you receiving duplicate texts, or are you sending duplicate texts?

I am also receiving duplicate text messages. It's random and from different people. Probably happens 2/3 of the time. I will receive a text and then two or three seconds later, I get the exact same text from the same person. I have tried *228 and taking the battery out and that did not correct the problem. Is there any fix to this? I'm sure this is counting against my monthly text messaging count!

i have this same problem. very frustrating. counting against my text alotment. needs a fix and verizon knows it!!!

I constantly reveive duplicate texts. First I'll get the first text, a second later, the same text. It's very annoying. I've read that it might be a problem with the sender's phone, yet I just got this new pantech, it's happening on a daily basis since I got it (about 2 weeks ago), I've never had this problem on any other phone, and, I get duplicates from a whole bunch of different numbers. So it's definitely a problem with the pantech.

Thank you for the feedback. Adding to what was stated, perhaps the sender of the message had accidentally inputted the destination of the text message twice in the send field to the same person. As a suggestion, please double check with the sender to make sure there is only one destination selected in the send field. Also,check where the message came from to ensure that the message was sent one time. Ask the sender to try sending a text message one time and see it is duplicated.

very very annoying. i get every text twice, regardless of where it comes from, even facebook notifications come in twice, so its surely not a user error. ive only had this phone for like 4 days and ive been having so many problems with it.
