Hi I am wondering if someone could help me with an app

Hi I have a Casio Ravine one the first one.  I downloaded Opera mini on it a while back and was using it and liked it and then I removed it for a bit but then now after I removed it I can not get it back on my phone again could someone help me out with this problem. Because I would like to put it back on my phone again

How did you remove it? Did you tap menu>settings>applications>manage applications, than scrolled down to Opera. Tap on Opera and tap on uninstall? Or did you do it another way? This will bear on whether you can reload it or not.

I only know one way to remove it on my phone and that is to cancel Subscription. I have canceled other subscriptions to other apps and was able to reinstall them but I just can't do that right now with Opera mini.  Is there another way to disable an app or so ?

Opera is a browser so you would uninstiall it like uninstalling stuff on a computer, don't think it's a subscription based service so you should have  uninstalled like the other poster said as there is nothing to unsubscribe from.  Mary

I understand your desire to use the Opera Mini web browser to enhance your Internet experience on your device.  How are you attempting to download it?  Are you navigating to Media Center>Browse and Downloads>Verizon Opera Mini?  If so, does the download complete successfully?  Are you receiving any error messages?  Please elaborate on what exactly is happening that is preventing you form downloading the browser.  Thank you.

Hi TominquebBo, Well I orginaly downloaded Opera Mini right on my phone.  Then I took it off for a little while now I have searched for it using my phone I could not find it.  When I use the computer it says my phone is not compatible but well it was compatible before.  Because I downloaded it on my phone and was using it same phone no changes.  Nothing has changed other then that I removed Opera Mini.  I hope that something just got goofed up or something like that and so hope you can help me.

It's hard to say why the Opera browser is not compatible anymore. Perhaps the newer software version on the Ravine is no longer compatible with Opera. I'm assuming that you went to http://www.opera.com/mobile/ to verify this information.

Can you please let me know what software version you have on your Ravine?

From the main screen, press Menu.
Scroll to Settings&Tools, press OK
Scroll to Phone Info, press OK
Scroll to S/W Version, press OK

Perhaps you can contact Opera Mobile to inquire whether or not your software version should work with your device.

I did research the situation that you are having. It seems like this could be a bug either with the phone or the app itself. The next step would be to do a master reset. This will restore your phone to it's original default settings. I would advise to back up your contacts and media.

Here are the steps for the master reset:

From the main screen, press Menu.
Scroll to Settings&Tools, press OK
Scroll to Phone Settings, press OK
Scroll to Security, press OK
Enter LockCode???? displays,
enter the 4 digit lock code ( default: last 4 digits of phone number ).
Scroll to Restore Phone, press OK
Press Yes to warning message: Permanently erases all user data. Resets phone settings to factory default. This phone will need to be re-programmed.
Phone will power off and back on.

Once you take this measure, I am certain that this will resolve your issue. I hope this helps. Thanks.

Hi I tried resetting the phone just like you said.  Well I am sorry to say though that that did not work. Smiley Sad I wish I could find it but this did not work. I am willing to try something if any other suggestions.  Thank you for trying to help me and going this far.
