How do I save an image to my LG Cosmos 3?

How to I save (or copy) an image to my LG Cosmos 3 from my Windows 7 laptop computer?

I've attached it with the USB connector and the PC loads some device drivers. But all I can seem to be able to do is look at the directory for about a minute and then everything disconnects.
