How to send a text message to a group on my TCL Flip Pro

Verizon just sent me a TCL Filp Pro and I am trying to figure out how to send a text message to a group that I created in my contacts list.  When I start a new text message I can select "group" from the contacts list, then select the name of my group, but the next screen is all of the group members and it appears that I have to select every one of them.  Is there a way to just select the group name and without having to go and select every member of the group?  Thanks.

I just "upgraded" to the 4G TCL Flip Pro and have similar issues.  Verizon has a more detailed manual, an interactive tutorial with photos, for the software KaiOS 3.0.  The instructions for sending a "group text'  is just what you describe, i.e. entering each recipient separately.  And each is a separate thread which creates a mess. So, there is no group text function to speak of.... I might be changing phones again.
