I just purchased the DuraXV Extreme as a upgrade to the DuraXV LTE.
It seems like a nice upgrade. The only issue is that it doesn't have the "Verizon Message+" app. Only a basic messaging app. This is a very disturbing downgrade. Why was is taken out? is there any way to have it put in? Will it be included in a software update?
I have a thousand dollar phone and wouldn't install that unless I was paid to. If your messenger app sends sms and mms, it does what needs to.
Sorry but the Message+ app has many great features such as muting conversations and message syncing. It's a real shame that it wasn't included on this phone. I will be returning this new device if I don't figure out a way to have the message+ app on it.
Here1, we want you to love your new phone. We understand your need to have the Message+ app on your phone. Have you tried downloading the app by visiting the media center on your phone?
I finally got them to admit that they messed up on this:
Our apologies, Here1. We recognize your time is valuable and I want to ensure that we're able to turn things around. Upon reviewing the instruction manual, I'm not able to confirm that Messages Plus is available for the DuraXV Extreme model. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and please rest assured that I have submitted your feedback about this experience to our internal teams to improve your experience going forward. Let us know if this helps.
Verizon clearly indicated that this phone includes Message+

There is a section called Verizon Messages (Message+)
It's always our priority that you have a device that fits your needs, and we will be more than happy to help. Please tell us, are you interested in a specific make and model? Other than Message+, what are you looking for in a device?
