Yes, for certain that thought crossed my mind. LOL.  Here is a point of interest, I think. I got the phone 2 months ago, am almost positive the phone did not do this "text talking"  from the start. However ...... I flew one month ago, used my "airplane mode" setting upon taking off, just wonder if using that setting somehow triggered this entire scenario.  Just a thought. The "airplane mode" setting is located just above the "security" setting.

Good point/observation.  Next time you turn on airplane mode and then your phone starts talking to ya, at least you'll now know how to shut it up!

Next time, on the plane, I will shut the phone "off", instead of touching the "airplane mode" button.  Don't know if that was the culprit, but I will not touch airplane mode again, just to be safe.
