Hi,
I am getting a "failure" upon sending or receiving text messages that contain pictures. This is a basic function and I don't expect requires an additional service activation. Texting alone works well. The "failure" occurs only when I send a photo or receive one from another phone.
Any thoughts?

Hey Joke9:
You're right about the fact that it shouldn't require any extra features to activate picture messaging. It's included with any text package. I suggest dialing *228 and choose option 1 to reprogram your phone. After powering it off/on, retest. Let us know the results and we'll take this a step further if necessary.
Thanks,

Thanks for the reply. I will try that.
I expect reprogramming will not erase any contacts or stored data?

Dialing *228 won't erase anything.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I got the phone lock reset, so, I'm good there.
However, the picture / text message function is still not working.
Could it be not part of my account?

If you have a TOTAL data block on the line, it will prevent picture messaging. You can block most of the data features but still maintain the ability to send/receive pictures. Call customer service, and check to see if there is a National Access data block on the line.
and also have them check to see that picture messaging is properly set up on the line...
