LG Extravert Re-Calibration

My LG Extravert is not calibrated. When I try to click certain things on my touch screen it only selects the top part of the page or the side; not what I want to click. I was able to partially recalibrate my phone once but it went back to not working after a day. Everytime I try to re-calibrate my phone, I get a message that my click is "out of range" and to try again. I have tried with my fingertip, fingernail, pens, everything to no avail. Any suggestions?

Thanks for trying alternate ways to get that screen calibrated, guitargirl!
There is nothing quite like having a screen that isn't calibrated.
You can soft reset the phone (remove/reinsert the battery) for a few seconds and try it again.

If it isn't working when you attempt to re-calibrate, the only thing that can be done is a hard reset http://bit.ly/UR3T7A.

Thanks Tamara. I'm in the process of backing up the pictures on my phone using Backup Assistant Plus. However I cannot download the app to my phone because it says it is restricted to Account Owners. I have a prepaid plan with Verizon and realize that this gives me a different status. Would it be possible to change my status so I can backup up my photos? Because of the touchscreen issues with my phone I cannot send them to my online album or my email.

On the Daily prepaid you can not use a touch screen, so I'm guessing this person has a $50.00 or $80.00 plan. I see above a Verizon person has helped her. I hope she got it figured out.  Have a good weekend Ann and thanks for sending the message.  Minnie
