The external screen on my LG Octane went blank all of a sudden. The phone was on, but not being used at the time. Now I can't see anything on the front screen and have to use the inside screen. I do about 90% of my texting on the front screen, view texts and contacts, and also like to screen my calls, so this is a real hardship. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there any way to fix it? I have taken the battery out and reinstalled it, but that didn't help. Phone is fully charged.

Sounds like the screen is dead. How long have you had the phone? Is it still under the manufacturer's one year warranty? Warranty replacement would be the best route if it is still available. If not, if you have insurance it would replace the phone for the cost of the deductible.
Without insurance, and if the warranty period is over, your next most cost effective solution is to borrow a basic phone from a friend until you are upgrade eligible, or purchase a replacement on eBay, swappa, or from a friend.
