LG Revere VN150PP Software Update Froze Phone - Please Help

I was prompted by Verizon to install an update on a Verizon LG Revere VN150PP cell phone. After attempting the download a message came through that said "wrong software installed." Now, all there is on the display is the Verizon logo. It does not progress to the "splash screen". None of the buttons work.  It won't turn off unless I pull the battery. I've pulled the battery, left it out for hours and replaced it to no avail.  I have pushed the power button for over 10 seconds to no avail.  Can anyone please help me with this?  Thank you in advance.
