LX8300 Problems

I am having a problem with my LX8300.  At my house it keeps on shutting down and starting up.  When starting it says "Registering Applications".  Then it will be searching for service, but I have a network extender.  It only happens at my house.  I just went out for awhile and it worked fine away from my house.  Any ideas of what is wrong or is the phone too old?
