I need to make some THREE WAY CALLS ON MY BASIC PHONE and don't know if I use the same proceedures as
I used to do on my land line. I am sure things have changed.

Unless things has changed, with most phones all you have to do is press the talk button again during a call to get option to dial another call and once connected the merge and hang up option should show.

ok for CDMA networks... A person calls you then you can call someone else and combine them... Just like a landline system.
on a GSM network it doesn't matter if you called first or someone called you to initiate a 3 way call.
