Phone shuts off

My LG V3 keeps shutting off automatically, how can I get this to stop?

It was a known problem with this phone. Something about battery contacts being loose. I have had mine over 2yrs and never had the problem and I bought a used one for hubby 5 months ago and his is not doing it either. Think one suggestion was to put a piece of paper in there to tighten it. Mary

How old is the phone?  Did it just start doing this?  Most people I think if they had this happen had it right from the beginning but maybe yours came loose long after or something.  I also wondered if it made a difference that mine is always in the rubberized case with a belt clip.  Mary

I've had this phone for about 3 years and is in a plastic case. I removed the battery and put it back in after a minute or so so I'll see how that does. If I keep have trouble, I'll probably upgrade.

Hi Barbara!  This sounds frustrating!  As acraftylady mentioned, this may be a result of a loose fit between the battery and the battery contacts on the back of the device.  Have you tried what acraftylady suggested?  If so, how did that work out for you?  Let me know so I can further assist.  Thanks!

I removed the battery for about 60 seconds and then replaced it. So far it has not shut off, however it didn't do it very much before, but I will keep an eye on it.
