Question about photos on older LG model

On older LG models why won't photos save? Plenty of memory left. Get "?" icon when try to save.

How "old" is older?  Does the phone have the option of adding an SD card?  If it is one of the phones that has only internal memory, only a certain portion of is allocated to pictures; some is reserved for the OS, programs, and other things... it's not ALL available for photos.

If you do have the option of adding an SD card, make sure the photos are actually saving to the card, not the internal phone memory.
