My daughter is using an LG ENV3 phone that belonged to her father. It recently developed a problem where when you power it on, it displays the Verizon Wireless logo, but goes completely dead after that. Ultimately, the home screen never comes up. We took it to the store, and the associate claimed he fixed it by removing the battery, pressing on the "power on" button about 20 times, and then putting battery back in and powering on again. It worked the first time, but as soon as she powered it off and turned it back on again, it had the same problem-no home screen. Just displays logo and goes dead. Does anyone have any ideas, or does she just need a new phone? Thanks.
It may be the battery itself - you can find inexpensive (probably less than $10) batteries for this phone on sites like cellularaccessories.com or batteries4less.com and see if a new battery solves the problem.
