I dropped my samsung brightside and it will not turn on anymore. What can be done?
if its still under warranty, take it to a verizon store and tell them what is going on and they will send you out another device. if that doesnt work, look around on ebay for a good used messaging phone for verizon.
Manufacturer's warranty won't cover physical damage - it's iffy if a dropped phone will be replace due to manufacturer defect, but you can give it a shot.
If you don't have insurance on it, and (as is likely) Verizon won't replace it, your next option, as archeryhunter suggested, is to look for a used replacement on eBay, or borrow from a friend. Put out a FaceBook request ... I got a BB to use temporarily while mine was drying out by posting a FB request.
