Samsung Brightside Sapphire not showing updates on computer?

On my Samsung Brightside Sapphire, it always says I have an update available. So, I check on the Verizon Update Assistant thing and it said there were no updates. The update that was available when I first got this phone removed the blue menu theme (The special thing about the phone was that it was BLUE, not the ugly orange and green, which I'm now stuck with.) The computer recognizes my phone as a normal Samsung Brightside now, but I'm not sure why. I've tried resetting it, what do I do?

Just for clarification, may I ask what software and build version do you have on your Brightside? Also, what type of reset did you do on the phone? If you haven't done so already then I would suggest performing a hard reset. Please see link below:

Once you have done so then please verify if the notification is gone. If not then please advise. If so then I would suggest restoring your information after completion.

I just did a hard reset and it did not work. Once I got it back up, it still told me I had a software update. I had to defer it though, because I do not have a data plan. Verizon Update Assistant still does not say I have an update available.

I'm worried I installed the original Samsung Brightside update when I first got the phone, which removed the blue theme (kind of the point in SAPPHIRE, right?).

It's displaying as a Plato on the Update computer app, but it always has.

This is what it installed when I first got my phone. I can't find the Utility software, though.

I know not having the ability to update your software is frustrating. I'm sorry the hard reset did not work. I recommend contacting Samsung https://www.samsung.com/us/ .Keep us posted.
