Samsung Brightside data problem

For about 2 months, the data on this phone hasn't been working at all, and as a result the Family Locator also hasn't worked. I have tried to do a manual update but the phone says it is up to date. It is my daughter's phone and I like the Locator option, especially in winter as she has a 2 hour travel time each day.

Of course, I am paying for date and extra for the Family Locator. Any suggestions for getting them working?

Danfan, We surely know the importance of ensuring the data is working on your phone! Let's figure this out. Are you receiving an error message when trying to access the data your phone? Have you tried to access other data related activities outside of Family Locator, as well?

When trying to use Locator, I get different results. Usually it says data is not working. Other times, it will give an area based location but nothing else. The text notifications for arrive/ leave an address completely stopped working back in November.

For the phone itself, trying to use data, example to go online, basically it just hangs and won't open the browser. No error message.,

Let's get working on this to make sure everything is set up as it should be. What type of signal does your device show? 3G, 4G, 1X? What zipcode are you in? As far as you know, is there anyone else having issues with data?
