I too have had many problems with my Brightside. The biggest problem being the keypad doesn't show up (which makes it unusable because after I did the "hard restore" I couldn't reprogram my number into it). Also, like other people have stated it said it was charging when it wasn't plugged in. So I called the company and sent it in for repairs. I just got it back and they told me it was beyond repair and the warranty was void because of water damage and corrosion. This is completely ridiculous. I keep my phone in a case and it has never gotten wet. I only had it for 4 months and it is still brand new. After reading all these comments I have decided to file complaints as well and hopefully they will do something about it.
I'm disappointed to see you've had so many troubles with your Brightside. It's a phone that lots of people are loving! But when a phone is exposed to moisture, the manufacturer's warranty is no longer available. Moisture doesn't necessarily come from dropping your phone in water and can happen to phones protected by basic cases. Anything from extreme temprature changes (creating condensation in the phone) to bringing the phone into the bathroom while taking long showers (the same condensation that builds up on your mirror can build up in your phone).
