I have a Samsung Gusto that I got a year ago but only just recently activated. It's doing something quite odd. When I try to enter a new text message, the following happens:
1. I hit "message"
2. I select "New Message"
3. I select "TXT Message"
4. I am able to type in the letter K
5. The phone resets.
I have done the *228, the "pull the battery off" reset, and searched for new software. None of these have helped. It seems like only the K button causes this.
My software version is u360.DH26

Hi Kvrobins!
Oh no! We want your device to only do even things! (smile) I know how important it is to have a properly working phone at all times. Thank you for your troubleshooting and patience with this issue. Let's get this fixed.
This error is not showing as known issue with the Samsung Gusto, so I would recommend a Master Reset of the device http://bit.ly/YnUSqZ. A Master reset will attempt to repair any corrupted software on the device, and set the device back to the original manufacturer defaults. Keep me posted. Have a great day!
Thanks,
