Samsung Intensity II shuts down for no reason!

I've only had this phone for 2-weeks and already I'm having weird problems with it! Today the phone just shut down on my belt while it was "supposedly" connected to a bluetooth device. I got no warning from the headset and didn't discover this until I removed the phone from my belt case! The phone would not restart on pressing and holding the End button. I had to actually remove the plastic protective case, (which was a real hassle!), and then remove the battery. It then fired up as though nothing happened! What is going on??? Is this what I'm going to have to put up with all the time? This phone is getting a lot of bad reviews and now I'm beginning to see why! When is Verizon Wireless going to offer phones that are good for people who don't want or use a smartphone! I got this so I can make phone calls, text message with a full keyboard and run  VZNavigator and Backup Assistant. That's all I need. This phone is not reliable! Wake up Verizon and fix this!
