My Samsung Intensity III is stuck in roaming mode and won't make calls.  Any suggestions?

I'd be happy to help you get to the bottom of this LindaCon! Your phone should only show roaming if you are out of the United States, or if you're in an extended area. What zip code are you currently in with your device?

Thank you,

My home is zip code 97016. The phone has worked fine for the year or so

that I've had it until the last couple of weeks. When I try to make a

call from home, I get the "Welcome to Verizon, not able to complete the

call as dialed" message Then the recording says something like "4

switch 6-6". It is an intermittent problem, but is upsetting to not be

able to rely on the phone working. This morning the phone is working,

but I'm not confident that it will last.

Thank you for your help.

Thank you so much for those details! I understand how important it is to rely on your phone to connect when you need it to. I do show we previously had an alert in your area that has now been resolved. I fully expect your calls to continue to connect with no problem! Please let us know if anything changes.

BarabaraLee,

I am so sorry to hear about your device being stuck on the "bootblock" screen. Have you tried to power of your device and remove and reinsert the battery? Are you able to navigate to any other screens on the device? If so, try this http://vz.to/1tzxl0C
