Samsung Reality touch screen issues

My Samsung Reality touch screen stopped working this evening.  The phone receives calls, but I have no way of calling out.  I can send a text by using the slide down keyboard.  The camera also works by using the button on the side, but the touch screen does not respond at all.  I took out the battery and put it back in several times.
