I've had my Samsung Rouge for a little over 2 years now, the screen has been splitting up and repositing itself into wacky places. I also have a bloated battery and went to my local Verizon store to check it out. They claim I have water damage, but I have never gotten my phone wet. I can't hold a charge for more than 4 hours, and our local store won't do anything to help, saying I voided the contract. This is concerning and makes me wonder if I really want my family to enter another contract. The customer service I've gotten is terrible.
I did a google search for "cellphone bloated battery" and found these two links:
I understand your discontent; a splitting screen that repositions itself at random can be very annoying. This issue may be caused by an operating system that became corrupted over time. While not a popular troubleshooting step, doing a Factory Reset will resolve any system errors and corrupted files. Please do a factory reset to resolve your phone's screen issues. Note that this procedure will erase every thing in your phone; please backup important files/date before doing factory reset.
Regrettably, nothing can be done for your battery (which has exceeded the one 1 year manufacturer's warranty) as it appears to have physical damage. While the Samsung Rogue has been retired from our inventory and we no longer carry batteries for it, the manufacturer still offers extended batteries for your device and you can buy one online at this LINK.
