When i turn on my phone it turns on and lights up buttons but the screen is black. I have to turn it on and then off a couple of times before i can actully see my messages and etc. Please help!

A dark screen definitely makes it difficult to use the phone my friend! This sounds like an issue that can be easily resolved! As others have asked, may I ask what make and model device do you have? Also, can I assume that there isn’t any liquid or physical damage on the phone? Once you have provided us, the community, with this info then I can look up the steps on how to adjust the screen’s brightness. Since you are unable to see the menus clearly, I can provide the steps in order of the key strokes to get this resolved for you. I look forward to hearing from you with the model phone that you have.
