So frustrated!! Fraudulent charges, problem switching phones and transferring info.

Problem number 1:  I broke my old phone, ordered a new phone (same number, same account) and received a used phone.  This is dishonest.  I paid for a new phone, and didn't receive it.  I received a used phone, but did not pay the discounted used phone price.  Verizon keeps treating this like a non-issue, but not only is it fraud, it is also the source of problem number 2 and problem number 3.

Problem number 2:  When I activated the phone, it was activated under the previous phone number.  I have since handled this on my own (neither the Verizon store nor Verizon customer service would help me, each telling me I needed to handle it with the other.)  I managed to figure out how to reactivate the phone under my current phone number through Google and the My Verizon website.  However problem number 2 has resulted in problem number 3.

Problem number 3:  My backup assistant keeps trying to access the backup assistant for the previous phone number rather than my current correct one.  A help message on the phone tells me that since I have a new mobile number (as compared to the previous user's number) I need to delete the backup assistant on the phone and reload the ap, but my phone won't allow me to delete backup assistant.  The backup assistant online shows my contacts, but I can't get them (or any other info) on my phone.  Customer service tells me to go into my local store, my local store says even if they can fix it (and they aren't promising anything), they will charge me and that customer service should be able to walk me through it for free.  Nobody wants to deal with it because it's a PITA, but in the meantime, I've spent several hours dealing with a process that should have taken two minutes.  This isn't my screw-up.

If anyone can help me, I would be eternally grateful.

1. Did you order a CPO? Did you buy from a 3rd party reseller like target/costco etc

3. What kind of phone is it? do a factory reset and then do the *228 when it comes back up, some old old old phones there is no way to delete bua.. if  that is so i highly doubt you bought that from direct verizon wireless

New phone or did you pay an insurance deductible to get a replacement?  What is the new phone and what did you pay?
