Trying to play music on my phone

I'm trying to play music on my phone, a Samsung Brightside. When I put the card in my phone, it recognizes the music that has been on the card for awhile, but not the songs that I just recently added to the card. The old music and new music are the same format and when I put the card into a different old phone, it recognizes all the songs, even the ones I just added. How can I get my current phone to recognize all of them like the other one does?
