Hi I have the lg basic phone and cannot seem to turn off the email alerts don't see a messaging or left menu..Thank you.

If you have a basic LG phone, and email, then you must be using Verizon's Mobile Email for basic phones. To change the alert settings, you need to open the email account, and set the alerts from within the account. Once the account is open on the phone, you can use the left or right soft key to choose Options. If you have more than one email account set up, you need to log in to each account and set the alert for that account.
