I thought I was a "pay as you go customer" and had an account balance of $15.15 (about 60 minutes at 0.25/minute); However, I did not make a payment by the ninth of the month and Verizon "warned" me that failure to make a payment would result in the loss of my number - ok I can understand that, but then they just took my account balance - in effect stole my $15.15. It was not even reinstated when I did make a payment of $5.00 on 12.11.15.
I have my phone for emergencies and am not a daily user, why should I have to pay each month just to keep Verizon from stealing my balance each month?!
This sounds more like extortion - pay me more money or I will take all you've paid into your account: "Use it or Lose it".
Unbelievable!
Dissatisfied former "Customer".
