We have no signal on our new LG Extravert 2. Anyone have any idea what we should do? I tried *228.

No, we did not get any error message. It says the phone has been programmed. But the signal level here is zero. His last phone was not like this. He can use it in town, but not here. Mine works fine. This is ridiculous. If I call him on it from another location I can not carry on a conversation with him. He has to be in the city of Fredericksburg for me to be able to talk to him.

We want your device to work everywhere! Lets get this resolved. Please make sure the system is not set to "Home Only". Go to Settings>Phone Settings>System Select>Tap automatic B http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-96644/. Keep me posted with results.
