I have a Verizon model SM-B311V. when I press Call to access my voicemail, I get a message saying the number is incorrect as dialed. what do I need to do to correct this?

No I just can’t figure out how to access my voicemail… there has been no recent changes to the phone so I’m not sure why

What happens if you dial your own phone number from your phone?

So when I dial my own number, it asks for my password but I don’t know what that is. Can you help me?

Try dialing *86 (it may come up as a contacted listed "check data" or something close to that) but don't let that fool you just try to dial *86 then press send to call, next you should hear prompts to walk you through setting up and checking your vm. Hope that helps

No I can't help you directly. You can call customer service at 1-800-922-0204 from a landline or *611 from another Verizon phone and request they assist you with resetting your voicemail password. You might be able to change your voicemail password through your MyVerizon account online.
