blocking calls

Greetings. 

I have an LG Cosmos 2 and have had it for about 1 year.  What I would like to know, in "layman's" terms is how to block my number when calling out?  In other words, I need to make a call, but I do not want the receiver seeing my phone number and jotting it down AND would like to somehow avoid the receiver accessing my phone number by dialing *69.

*Thank you!! This is just what I was looking for. I didn't want to jump

through hoops fining an easy solution, short of NOT making a phone call.

Any more these days one has to b e a computer tech/genius just to READ the

lowers manual. I just need to block a couple phone numbers and I tried it

on my cell to land line and it does work and when dialing *69, there is no

access to the number.*
