Hi there,
My wife and I have 2 Casio G'zOne flip phones from 2007. We bought them because they were supposed to be "military-grade, bulletproof" phones... turns out, they are. We're still using them as of today, Feb. 10, 2021!
So recently, as of a few weeks ago, about half of our calls (made to each other, or anyone else in the world) don't connect properly. Either the other person can't hear me, or I can't hear the other person. We have to hang up, re-dial, and sometimes it works. Usually we have to try a couple times before both parties can hear each other. We literally say "Can you hear me now?" a dozen times a day.
This is unacceptable. Like I said, these phones are almost 14 years old, and they've experienced the occasional dropped call, failure to connect, etc. like any other phone, but never like this, and I see by searching this support board that we're not the only ones experiencing the problem.
Please fix this issue.
Our specifics:
We live in the Asheville, NC area. Zip codes we're mostly in are 28704 and 28801
We call locally as well as all across the country.
Doesn't matter if we're calling or receiving calls from other flip phones, or the latest smart phone, or a business, or private party, day, night, in the car, out of the car. -Our behavior hasn't changed... the phone service has. -We've only ever been Verizon customers. From the dawn of cell phones, 'till now.
We don't have blue-tooth or WiFi... we just open the phones, dial the number, hold it to our head and try to talk. We don't even send or receive texts on these phones.
Any help would be appreciated!!

VZ has no ability to address customer's concerns. It is a horrible outfit, and I'll certainly get rid of it when I can do it on my terms.

Is everyone else in area having the same issues? Might help rule out being because it's an old phone. Could you not get through to anyone when you called?
