Any idea why I can't send or receive text messages on my LG VN170 Revere 3 ?

Had to get a new phone due to old phone died, was able to do texting with old one

Have you checked your on-line My Verizon account or called Customer Service to ensure a text block wasn't inadvertently placed on the line when the phones were swapped?
