cant text or make calls

i have LG VN170 basic phone.  i cannot make text or make/receive calls.  on calls,  it just redirects me to automated service. whats going on?

I talked to the service people at the manhattan store in louisiana.  it appears that my phone service was discontinued because of the 3G thing.  that explains the problem I had.

however, I was also told that VZ mailed me a new phone last month. its was shipped and delivered last month.

one problem.  I never got the phone.  it either got delivered to the wrong address or it got stolen.

the issue has been resolved.

the phone has been reported lost/stolen to customer support.
