my cosmos 3 phone has no volume

somehow my lg cosmos three phone gets calls but I get no sound when I dial out and it wont let me talk/ hear when someone else talks.

Any idea about how to fix this or would I need to get a replacement phone?

Raifu,

Sorry to hear about the audio trouble with your Cosmos 3. Sounds like you both cannot hear and others cannot hear you when you talk. Is that right? Has there been any damage to the phone? If not, that would lean us away from it being a problem with your speaker or mic.

Try removing the battery for 30 seconds http://vz.to/1ze72Dc . Then, once reassembled and powered back on, dial *228 and call. This should reprogram your phone and update your roaming. Once it completes that process dial #832 and call. Can you hear the message? Then try calling other numbers. Does the problem persist?
