transfer contacts from samsung sch-u900 flipshot

Is there any way to transfer my contacts and photos from my samsung sch-u900 to a new iphone?  I was in a verizon store today and the rep told me that they couldn't do it and to try google for a solution.

Diggydoo, we know how important it is to make sure you are able to keep your information. The only way that you would be able to transfer files from that phone to the new one would be by transferring the files to a computer and then transferring them to the new phone.
