$400 Visa Gift Card Not Received

It has been over 90 days of my activation date and still no $400 Visa Gift card as promised. As like so many other Verizon customers, I received the check status notification postcard and activation pin # postcard about a month ago. When I called customer service for promotions I was told that the card was mailed on Jan 23 which was over a month ago. The representatives explaination was that the delay may be caused by the inclement weather in the north east. I am hoping that this post will help me connect to a Verizon agent who can resolve this issue and honor the promotion as promised.

I have contacted verizon three times to find out where my gift card is. I have also looked online to check status. The first time i was given no answer and told to call promotions. I did that and after about an hr of waiting on hold i again got no answer and was told there was a hold up with these gift cards. I then last friday spoke to someone in promotions after waiting another hr and was promised my gift card would be delivered on sat March 7th. Guess what. it wasnt. So now I am here, writing on a forum wasting more of my time. Where is my gift card? I only want what was promised to me and no more.

Please contact me via email or cell.

Thank you

Shocking. I was contacted by cunstomer service only after posting on this forum and responded with the information that was requested and that is it. No response since then. Unlike the man below I have proof that this is owed to me and I have copies of every single correspondence with Verizon. So I will be submitting all to the BBB. I also have a PIN # provided by your wonderful company for this non existant $400 gift card. I have spent countelss hours trying to get answers for which i was told on three different occasions via email and phone my card had shipped and I would have in 48 hrs. Clearly lies. For such a large company to run a scam like this is terrible. I would suggest no other people fall victim to this.

I signed up for Verizon and was told about the $400 gift card that I was guaranteed. I called Verizon, only to be told that I did not qualify. I find that ridiculous. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service that Verizon has.

I had same Experience. A representative  came to my Home On Thanks Giving time.  He offering the $400 gift card and a tablet. He said I would receive it in 90 days. I  called  3 Times Verizon Customer care said that it was not part of my contract and I am not eligible.   I have the Flyer and I have his Full Name and contact phone number and I took the picture of the Representative Identification. and his photo.
I feel so stupid for not getting it in writing. It was advertised on TV and I wish I had kept the flyer.
Customer Care they are saying you sould call to  Representative Who came to my House.  Even i called t4 times to Representative He is not lifting the call.  I am totally Dispointed.

We have not recieved our $400 giftcard either. We activated service over 90 days ago, have no past due balance on our account, and have even received the postcard stating it would be here in 15 days. It has been 15 days and it still hasn't come. Who do I speak with to get this resolved?

I contacted verizon several weeks ago about what happened to my $400 visa card and had an online chat with a service representative.

The Verizon rep said, your card should show up in the mail within the next week or so.  I saved a print screen of that discussion for my records.

That time having gone by, I called today and actually spoke to someone.  This person told me that I was not eligible and there was never any promotion for a $400 VISA card, which doesn't make any sense.   I would not that the topic of this area is $400 Visa Gift Card Not Received.  So to assert that there has never been any offer for a $400 gift card is an insult to my intellligence and others who have posted to this board.

If this is not resolved to my satisfaction I will have no choice but to dispute $400 in cards on my credit card.  The only reason I committed to a two year contract, rather than to continue on a month to month basis was because of the offer.

My wife and I recently bought a new home.  Around November of last year I called in to get TV and internet service.  At the time there was a promotion for a $400 gift card and I specifically said that I was calling for that promotion.  The representative said that he setup the account for that promotion and I would get the gift card 90 days from the start of service.  He also said that I would get free movie channels for 2 years and a free tablet.  I declined the tablet.

We are well past 90 days and I have not received anything pertaining to the sending of my gift card.  The last time I called prior to this promotion, the rep I spoke with cancelled my account and setup a whole new account and all I was trying to do was change my plan.  I recently called to inquire about my gift card and the rep said that there was nothing noted on the account and I was not signed up for the gift card.  I advised her of the details of the call and she confirmed that I did get movie channels for 2 years but I would not get the gift card.  I MAKES NO SENSE that you would honor half of the deal and basically say "sorry".  I asked to speak with someone higher in the office and she refused and said she would have someone to call me in 24-48 hours.  It's been 96 hours and no call has been made.  Now that I get online I notice that there are several people that aren't getting thier gift cards.  I specifically started a contract because of the gift card and the plan.  I need my gift card as you promised.  I also will be notifying anyone and possibly the BBB about this.  If I didn't pay my bill you would turn my services off.  Verizon needs to honor their promotions and do the right thing.  This is REDICULOUS!!

Vebron, it sounds like we are going through almost the same scenario. We moved to a new house in December, and we were signed up for the same plan, free movies for a year, Triple-Play, and were promised the $400 gift card. Fast-forward to today, and my wife calls to check on it. Turns out, the agent we spoke to at that time screwed something up, didn't actually commit us to a contract, and therefore we were never submitted for the gift card. Of course, the people we spoke with today claim there's no record of it. Of course not, since the person creating the record was the one that screwed up to begin with. They claim they'll give us the card if they talk to that particular agent, and the agent remembers the conversation. So, if the agent remembers making a mistake and admits it to their boss, we'll get the gift card.(Can you say "Conflict of Interest?")

Since there's no difference in the plan costs, and we were receiving the services, we had no reason to believe that there was any mistake in our plan. We had also only been told to expect the card within 90 days, so we didn't know to check on anything before that. Now, we are being given the run-around from agents trying to avoid paying out what we are owed. On the plus side, at least we can cancel all of our services if this isn't resolved satisfactorily within a few days, since they didn't even commit us to a contract.(And yes, for $400, that's a viable option)
