Getting charged for Verizon when I stopped my account 11 months ago

I just realized that Verizon has been taking a payment from my account for 11 months despite the fact that I stopped service 11 months ago. When I go to my Verizon, it says I'm not signed up for Auto-pay but I'm getting billed anyway. How do I go about getting this rectified and get the money back?
